Prerequisite Courses
We require you to complete two prerequisite courses before being accepted into the school: the Introduction to Anatomy & Physiology and the Introduction to Massage. If you can demonstrate that you have completed an equivalent or comparable course, you may receive an exemption in one or both courses.
Introduction to Anatomy & Physiology Course

The focus of the course is on developing scientific language skills, learning the basics of cell structure and function, and providing an overview of the body systems. The course is graded on the basis of quizzes, a midterm, and a final exam. You must achieve a passing mark of 65 percent. This course is also available through self-study for those who live outside the city or have scheduling conflicts. Students will be given a textbook and study guide and have three months to complete the course. Students will need to write a midterm and final exam and achieve a final mark of 65 percent.
Course Fee: $226 (includes H.S.T. and materials)
Introduction to Massage Workshop

This 14-hour weekend workshop is designed as both a general interest course for the public and a prerequisite for acceptance into our programs. It will teach you how to give a full body massage using Swedish massage techniques. It is a great opportunity to determine whether massage therapy is a “good fit” for you. You will need to bring the following items with you:
- two bed sheets
- one pillow with a pillow case
- one hand towel
- one light blanket
- unscented oil like olive, canola, sunflower, grapeseed, etc. (not peanut or baby)
- a clean body, short fingernails
Course Fee: $244 (includes H.S.T. and course booklet).
Enrollment: 20 maximum
